Congrats!!!! I am also hoping to getting into the ASN for the Fall of 07, at Ivy Tech in Richmond. I am still waiting for my letter to come. I was wondering if you could tell what it took for you to get in. I understand if you don't want to disclose that information. Just wondering how competive it is at other Ivy Techs.
Good Luck in the fall!:balloons:
Nikki, thanks I appreciate it. At the Laf campus, they consider your TEAS test as well as your grades in ANP 101, ANP 102, PSY 101 and ENG 111. You are awarded points based on your grades in those courses. For all 4 courses, I had A's so I was alloted the maximum amount of points. On the TEAS test, I scored a composite score of 90. Hope this helps!
Good Luck! I hope you get in also! The waiting was the hardest part for me. Let me know if you get in.

Sam.. I know EXACTLY how you feel. I started checking the mail religiously for the last week wondering if it would come early. I was under the impression that letters weren't to be mailed until the end of May, so I was pleasantly surprised. At the Laf campus, the deadline for us to reply to accept their invitation to the program is due June 1. I am sure that Evansville's is similar. Hopefully you will hear soon.
Let me know. I would love to hear back from you.
Amy :)
Thanks for sharing your scores, I am in a similar situation receiving 4 A's in the class that I needed. On my TEAS however I received a 84. I am not sure if this is good enough but I am sure time will tell. I think that I am going to be waiting for the mailman everyday now. Wish me Luck!
Nikki..I am sure you will get in. I was told that in our program last fall, they allowed TEAS as low as 79. I know that they restructured the program this year, so the bar may be a little higher on the TEAS minimum. I am sure you will get it. Getting all A's in those 4 courses in a great accomplishment. You should be proud of yourself. I was told the majority of candidates had at least 1 B, so already you are ahead of most people.
Let me know how it goes. I will be thinking of you.
Amy :)
Amy,
Thanks for the encouraging words, I have also applied to I U East to their BSN. I am hoping for Ivy Tech's program because of the time it takes to finish. I really hope that I find out this week because we are going to see my family over the weekend in PA and I would love to share great news! I was wondering on someone elses post I saw that they do not send letters out to those that do not get in, is that correct? Thanks again!:typing
Nikki...I am not sure if they send letters out to those who did not make it. I would think so though. It would be aweful to continue waiting without an answer either way. If it were me, I would prefer to know either way so I would know whether I needed to go to Plan B.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Amy :)

Let me first say I am so excited! I received my acceptance letter today from Ivy Tech - Lafayette for the Fall 2007 RN Program.
I was wondering if there is anyone else out there that is starting the program in the Fall?
It would be great to get information from other IvyTech Students that are already in the program as to what is expected and what types of items are helpful in having, like PDA, what type of stethoscope, etc.
I would love you hear from you?
Amy :) :welcome:
