  1. Nikki...this is great. I am so excited for you! Congratulations. Amy
  2. Congratulations Becker! That is wonderful news! :balloons:
  3. Congratulations Sam! :balloons: That is wonderful. Nikki, hope you hear soon, let us know. Amy :)
  4. I was just accepted into the Nursing Program that will start in August at the Lafayette campus. Application deadlines were April 1. They only have openings for 40 students due to clinical rotations, so it is very competitive. There are several hundred students that apply and only 40 get in. In my opinion, it is a great program and you can't beat the education value at such a great tuition rate. It may be worth checking into for you. I can tell you that the prereqs for the program at ANP 101, ANP 102, ENG 111 and PSY 101. Then you are required to take an admissions test called the TEAS test. Each of your grades in these 4 classes along with your TEAS score carry a points value and they are added together and you are ranked accordingly. They start admitting based on the highest score on down until they reach the top 40 candidates. Hope this helps. Amy
  5. Miss Arron... I hope you get in. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks! Amy :)
  6. Nikki...I am not sure if they send letters out to those who did not make it. I would think so though. It would be aweful to continue waiting without an answer either way. If it were me, I would prefer to know either way so I would know whether I needed to go to Plan B. Looking forward to hearing from you. Amy :)
  7. Nikki..I am sure you will get in. I was told that in our program last fall, they allowed TEAS as low as 79. I know that they restructured the program this year, so the bar may be a little higher on the TEAS minimum. I am sure you will get it. Getting all A's in those 4 courses in a great accomplishment. You should be proud of yourself. I was told the majority of candidates had at least 1 B, so already you are ahead of most people. Let me know how it goes. I will be thinking of you. Amy :)
  8. That is wonderful! CONGRATULATIONS! :balloons:
  9. Sam.. I know EXACTLY how you feel. I started checking the mail religiously for the last week wondering if it would come early. I was under the impression that letters weren't to be mailed until the end of May, so I was pleasantly surprised. At the Laf campus, the deadline for us to reply to accept their invitation to the program is due June 1. I am sure that Evansville's is similar. Hopefully you will hear soon. Let me know. I would love to hear back from you. Amy :)
  10. Nikki, thanks I appreciate it. At the Laf campus, they consider your TEAS test as well as your grades in ANP 101, ANP 102, PSY 101 and ENG 111. You are awarded points based on your grades in those courses. For all 4 courses, I had A's so I was alloted the maximum amount of points. On the TEAS test, I scored a composite score of 90. Hope this helps! Good Luck! I hope you get in also! The waiting was the hardest part for me. Let me know if you get in. Amy
  11. Let me first say I am so excited! I received my acceptance letter today from Ivy Tech - Lafayette for the Fall 2007 RN Program. I was wondering if there is anyone else out there that is starting the program in the Fall? It would be great to get information from other IvyTech Students that are already in the program as to what is expected and what types of items are helpful in having, like PDA, what type of stethoscope, etc. I would love you hear from you? Amy :) :welcome:
  12. Well... I am completely excited. I received my letter in the mail today for the Fall 2007 RN Program at Ivy Tech-Lafayette. Are there any other Ivytecher's out there that are starting in the FALL? Amy :)
