From whose perspective - the Patient? The nurse?

Home vs. Hospitialization...hmmmm:
Well, the most obvious thing to me is that the patient is able to be treated in the comfort of their home. They get to sleep in their own bed(this one is huge to me. I hate sleeping in a strange place, like a hospital).

I'm still a pre-nursing student, so this is just my $0.02:twocents:. I think the bad about home would be risk of infection.

studies into home iv abx for celulitis worked out in it favour. patients who were trialled with it preferred and would want it again, re-occurance within the month was 20% in home treated patients. however older patients tended to like the comfort of 24hr care and we nurse on wards in the UK so there is mainly several roommates for company.
