IV insertion

What are your favorite videos that demonstrate IV insertion for laboring moms?

Featured Replies

That is quite a niche topic, can't say I have seen videos on the topic.

I will say from experience on the IV Team, I have been called to L&D a few times and what I find is most helpful is to attempt insertion right after a contraction has ended. I'm sure actual L&D nurses might have more insightful comments.

I don't think you will find one specifically geared towards that. You will find plenty on youtube in general with regards to IV insertion.

Search YouTube for IV insertion. Any of them will be helpful. It doesn't need to be a laboring mom, specifically. Also, the pinch of having an IV placed is a tickle compared to contractions :-)
