You should be able to as a matter a fact you should be able to use it anywhere. Its a certification not a license. Its not like a nursing license which requires reciprocity. Certificates ie.ACLS, BLS, med surg certification. Etc can be used anywhere
thanks alot

Not true in every case. The state I live in has such a comprehensive IV Therapy State Mandated program, that I haven't been able to give resiprocity to anyone coming into this state wanting to perform IV therapy. Simply put, some states don't allow LPN's to perform many IVT activities, while others do, and what you haven't been educated on, and the procedure in which you have not been checked off on, shouldn't be performed. If I were you, I would call each state, or look up online and see what the LPN practice act is for IV therapy. Then, contact a school within each state and ask them if resiprocity can be obtained between the two states. Do not take it for granted, because once "certified" you can go anywhere.. Is a false statement.
I checked with both states as well as the school and all three said this iv certification is for both RN's and LPN's and can be used every where. Thanks for getting back to me guys I am hoping this will make me more maketable. Its hard being a new nurse people forget how else will I get experience bUT anyway thanks
