ITT Tech?

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

Have any of you looked into their ADN program? It is new in Michigan this year; however, Indiana just had their first graduates, or are getting close to graduation.

I took the HESI at ITT Tech in July. I'm on pins and needles waiting to hear something. If all goes well, I plan to start in September. :yeah:

One drawback is the cost. Another is that nothing you take here will transfer. That's something to condider if you are young and may eventually go on to obtain your BSN. Me? I'm in my 40's now. No chance of getting my BSN.

Please post if you know anything about this school, or if you were one of the many who took the HESI here. No waiting list. Score high enough on the HESI and you're in. The caveat is that they are only taking 30 students to start. I plan to be one from the initial class. We should hear something this week.

Thats Awesome PZitros.. Im looking forward to the program.. I go to my Fin Aid appt on wed. To MS ASHLEY.. Is there any word on where ITT's Clinicals will be?

I haven't heard anything as of yet on where clinicals will be but I am definitely on the listen for any news on that. We don't start clincals until December so I am sure we will hear something between now and the end of next quarter. As soon as I do I will let you know!

at NurseExtern1 I have my fin aid appt on Thursday.

Thats awesome! I have mine tomorrow.. To Ms. Ashley, Please keep me posted cause I'm dying to know! :lol2:

So I've heard that they recently signed a contract with DMC so we will be getting assigned to DMC sites soon! That would be good for me cause that's a lot closer to my house than some of the other sites. Some of the sites that I hear we have been going to thus far are Triumph, Oakwood Main and St. Johns in Ann Arbor. If I get any more information I will be sure to let you know!!

Hello everyone, Congrads to those who made it in for the fall, I start in March 2012, I work at St John Providence in Southfield and I seen a few ITT Nursing Students there, just to let you know. I also spoke with the Chairwoman regarding sites at the informational meeting, and she stated they have contracts with DMC, St John Health System, I believe she said Henry Ford, and Oakwood Hospitals; and of course long term facilities. Hope that Help.:)

Hi ! I'm Erica and I'm waiting on the phone call about whether or not I've been accepted or not. I've met with financial aid and taken the HESI exam. I was really hesitant with taking on this school and its challenges before i spoke with someone who I previously attended nursing school with. She loved it. We went to a popular CC and the program was un-organized and un-professional a lot of the times. It it was more expensive but I believe I'm worth it. I'm doing this for my son, not myself. So I'm praying on it and hopefully i'll be starting next month! =)

Have any ITT Tech Nurses passed the NCLEX yet?

:nurse: Hi. I'm going to finish ITT's program in less than 3 weeks. Our first class graduated in June and one of the girls passed her NCLEX the first time last week. :yeah: The Oklahoma City campus has had a lot of confusion, but they're finally "on board." Yes, it's very expensive, but having gone to a state school that had so many students and calloused teachers I'm grateful for my experience at ITT. The classes are small and the teachers care very much about the students. The head of the program leaves her door open because she wants us to visit with her. If you want a positive and successful experience, head for ITT. :clown: They will do anything they can to help you (as long as you're willing to do whatever you need to!).

:twocents:One way to reduce expenses would be to take micro, A&P, and other prereqs at a state school.:twocents:

Congrats bevtag! I attend Itt-Tulsa, finishing 3rd qtr in a few weeks. I love the program, and it is good to see a class graduating. Our first class graduates in December! Good Luck to you, future RN!

Thank you, Tiffany! Hey when it's time to think about Kaplan (or not), there's a Kaplan teacher in Tulsa named -----. She's one of the funniest people ever. I've thought about traveling to Tulsa just to take Kaplan from her!

This quarter you're in is the busiest, but the rest of the quarters will go so fast you won't believe it!

Good luck and best wishes!

Nurseextern1 & PZitros....I start in september too....jus unfortunate that we have to wait to get our schedule 2 weeks before classes start.

MsAshley, do we have a choice of the days....how many days do we start out with...thx

Nope you don't have a choice in your days its strictly up to the school. My first quarter I had class wednesday, thursday, and friday. This quarter I only came to campus on wednesday and took another class online. I had already taken the math class which was the only reason I didn't have to go to campus more often. We get our schedules for next quarter next week so I can let you know what that looks like then! I'm sure I will be in campus 2-3 days
