  2. Hi @ FutureRN88, my name is Storm and I currently attend ITT nursing program in Canton, I am entering my final year. Adult Med Surg 2 is our next rotation in a week. just to let you know, I love the program, it is not easy like any program. Do I regret my decision for coming to ITT..NO I DO NOT. I had nay sayers and some of my co workers say I was crazy to pay that amount, I am not going to ITT to plz anyone but my self, ppl are going to say what the heck they want, the bottom line is what you want..All these nay sayers is not going to pay your bills or loans back right! If they are going to pay it back for you, then hey listen to them, other wise tell them to go kick rocks. I hate I had to give up my fulltime job, but to succeed I had to do what I had to do. I have a wonderful support system. Now I would tell ppl to make ITT their last choice due to the amount of money, but if you are tired of waiting and retaking classes then do you..So needless to say they still waiting and I am heading in my 2nd Adult Med Surg...ITT clinical sites are as follows: St John Providence Hospital (Southfield), Kindred Hospital (Old Holy Cross on Detroit East side), Doctors Hospital (Pontiac) McLaren Hospital (Old Mt. Clemens General) Graden City, Oakwood, Children's, St. Mary's, Hutzel Hospital, Nsg. Homes, Long Term facilities, and others...Nurses has been hired at William Beaumont in Royal Oak, Providence (Southfield), Kindred Hospital, Doctors Hospital, McLaren, Oakwood, and Botsford...Is it beneficial to already have your foot in the door at an hospital...of course..If this is what you want no one can stand in you way.
  3. My advice is to be organize your schedule, its alot of studying, but its fun, all those books you got, you will not used all of them in the first qtr. the main books would be, your Contemporary Nursing Book, your Medical Term book you may go up to the 4th chapter, at least we did. your NCLEX Book is a good source if your Fulltime at work, you may want to drop your hours...lol...its so much to explain, but organization is the key...Dont wait to the last minute for any assignments you will get very behind. any other questions let me know...
  4. Congrads to all, I currently attend ITT Nsg. School, im n my 3rd qtr. I like the program, cant wait til 4th qtr. We start our clinicals :-)
  5. @Bevtag, Can you please tell me how the nursing classes were for you? I start in March, 2012, and by the way Good Luck On the NCLEX!
  6. @Bevtag, Thank you, that's the plan; for me to pursue my dreams, after waiting 2.5 years to get into a Nursing program, ITT Nursing program was not difficult for me to accept. Can't wait to start. P.S. I don't think your that much older than me...lol:lol2:
  7. @CheCheMartin, Congrads to you, I wish I could have started in September, but I had to make sure my job was intact...lol...I'm pretty sure you will be just fine, like the rest of us. Do you currently work in the hospital, clinical office, nursing home etc.?:)
  8. @Wen902, Thanks a bunch, I have a friend that's in the program here in Michigan and she loves it. I didn't know that ITT had a waiting list to take the HESI, a friend of mine have to retake the test. I need to let her know to call and get on the list.Taking classes at another school is a good idea, they can transfer over and the price will drop down. I saved about $12,000, due to my classes transferring over. @Kmay29, Yes I start in March, I'm so excited to start this program, may be we will be in the same class...lol...
  9. @ Wen902 What State are you planning on attending ITT? I too start in the Spring, I'm in Michigan
  10. This Nursing program at ITT is very costly, however I choose to go this route to obtain my degree. @dmrefined are you in the program? or Are you considering the Nursing Program at ITT?
  11. Once all my GE classes transfer over,And use my two scholarships (one from SGNA-Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates $2,500 and $3,000 (Nurse Stipend) through my job. The cost drop, so my cost may be around $35,000 to $40,000 when its all said and done. So it varies if you have have some classes that can be transfered over from a CC or UV that cuts the cost alot...look into scholarships as well so you don't have to pay so much. I'm looking into a few more before March.
  12. Hello everyone, Congrads to those who made it in for the fall, I start in March 2012, I work at St John Providence in Southfield and I seen a few ITT Nursing Students there, just to let you know. I also spoke with the Chairwoman regarding sites at the informational meeting, and she stated they have contracts with DMC, St John Health System, I believe she said Henry Ford, and Oakwood Hospitals; and of course long term facilities. Hope that Help.:)
  13. Hello Every1, I'm not for sure where you all are located, but Here in Michigan, ITT Nursing Students Clinical Sites are at Various Hospitals, St. John Providence Health Systems( 4 Hospitals in this Health System), Detroit Medical Center(4 Hospitals including Children's Hospital Of Michigan, Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center, Henry Ford Health System and Medical Center and of course Long Term Facilities. I went to the Informational Meeting here and when we asked where the clinical sites were, they gave us the information with no problem. I've seen some of ITT Nursing students at my facility and stop and ask them How they like the program, the answer was they loved it! They had 1 more year to go. I can't wait I start in March, 2012. After waiting for 2.5 years ITT Here I come. I will pay the $30,000.00 and do a loan forgiveness through my job, they will pay for it as long as I work for them for 2 Years.
  14. Hello everyone, new the site. I'm attending the Nursing seminar for ITT May 18th, can anyone give me some in site on what to expect.
