Have any of you looked into their ADN program? It is new in Michigan this year; however, Indiana just had their first graduates, or are getting close to graduation.
I took the HESI at ITT Tech in July. I'm on pins and needles waiting to hear something. If all goes well, I plan to start in September.
One drawback is the cost. Another is that nothing you take here will transfer. That's something to condider if you are young and may eventually go on to obtain your BSN. Me? I'm in my 40's now. No chance of getting my BSN.
Please post if you know anything about this school, or if you were one of the many who took the HESI here. No waiting list. Score high enough on the HESI and you're in. The caveat is that they are only taking 30 students to start. I plan to be one from the initial class. We should hear something this week.
Other than the champagne none that have been brought to our attention. So far I am loving it! The first quarter isn't difficult but as the quarters progress the work load becomes more demanding. I have been holding in there. The staff is very friendly and willing to help just be sure to ask if you need anything! And the schedule can be any range of days, mwf , tthf, anything you can think of its possible. If you're working make sure your job is flexible because you will need the flexibility especially when you start lan second quarter
Oh wow! Bevtag! I am in 4th semester, headed to 5th...lol...they start to run together. Last semester with pharm and dosage was very busy. Now that we are in clinicals I loved this semester. Are you thinking of doing BSN program afterwards. They changed ITT to Breckinridge school of nursing, and offer a bachelors program online. I guess it will be something to think about
@KMay...I was due to start in September, but as of today, I plan on running away. I checked all of the local hospitals hiring qualifications and they said " Must graduate from an accredited college and hold state licence"...The program is new here and I'm afraid to invest 30,000+ into something that I'm guessing or assuming on.
I love Clinicals and my classes so far. In order for ITT to have a program in your state there is accredidation. Upon graduation you will be able to take the state boards for your RN licensure like every other nursing student. In my state the hospitals speak highly of our students, and many of the soon to graduate students already have job offers. BTW for those who currently attend and dont have previous pre-reqs. I only had one. Speak to your registrar about doubling up on your basic classes if possible. I was set to graduate in December 2012, but make really good grades and decided I could handle the course load and will now be graduating in September 2012. Good Luck to everyone again!
