ITT Tech Portland OR, Any ideas

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

I went to the information session yesterday on the ASN program. It was interesting and sounds do-able with my schedule. My problem is ......I am already an LPN, have been for 4 years. The program is 27 months regardless of previous degrees and no way to accelerate. The cost is a bit spendy but workth the convience in my book. My work is pushing me to get my RN so I can be an RCM.

Anyone currently in the program or can give me any advise on ITT Tech? I am one of those that DO NOT like the RAT RACE of a community college. Not that they are bad, they are just not for me!!!!:clown:

I know nothing about ITT, except the $$$ involved..

Why not just attend a bridge program for a year and pay less? A lot of LPNs do this and seem to be just fine.. :)

I would be cautious of ITT..., make sure you read the fine print...

iam planning on geting some pre regs out the way like math at my community college then apply at itt tech in portland or. Sadly i live 3hr away but still plan to apply next year in the fall. The reson y iam geting math out the way is cuse its real hard for me i need a help all the time and if i get acsepted in portland i think they let u do bio. And chem. Online cuse i dont plan to move up there just go up there when i have class wich is 3, 2 a week any info would help about this school?

ITT tech isn't OSBN accredited here yet. They wont be untill after their first class graduates in 2012. I'm not at all saying that they wont get accredited, but it's a definitely something to think about. Have you considered an online LPN-RN bridge? Also, walla walla has a bridge program that might be worth looking into. Good luck with whatever you decide!
