ITT nursing (Breckenridge) Portland, OR

Published

Has anyone or do you no anyone attending ITT nursing in Portland, OR. is the program ACCREDITED? I'm having trouble finding much info on it...

Has anyone earned there ADN thru here.......How many days a week do you have class/clinical? Where did u have clinical? What did u find most challenging? Did u have day or evening classes? If you've already graduated, do u plan on earning your BSN?

Well, they are certainly secretive about it. The ITT website says nothing at all about it (always a bad sign :)), and neither ACEN or CCNE lists them as an accredited institution. I'm guessing that means NO (not that I'm surprised by that at all ...) Don't waste your money ...

ITT is accredited by whatever credentialing body accredits "career and technical colleges" - that is NOT the accreditation you want for a nursing program. You want a program that is accredited by ACEN or CCNE.

Further, I believe their prelicensure ADN program costs about $80K when it's all said and done.

Portland Oregon.... what are your experiences---- is the ADN program accredited ccne or nln

Are you attending school there now? I saw in another thread that you are in an ADN program - is it this one? Did you not look into it BEFORE you started the program? And in answer to your question, no it is not. Not with the ACEN or CCNE.

Yes I am enrolled at Breckin ridge I thought since I already have such an extensive medical background and I work at one of the largest hospitals in Oregon, I might have a shot at getting a job out of school.... but now I'm having second thoughts..

I also plan on continuing after breckinridge and earning my BSN, which I hope will help

Did you look into local community colleges for your ADN? It just seems unbelievable to me that someone would be willing to pay $55,000+ in tuition for an associate's nursing program that isn't even accredited.

I have a bunch of transfer credits from PCC that they are accepting which really lower the price and then I also have a $20,000 scholarship/gift towards the program.... I do agree its super expensive, I would not go this route without the help I have gotten..... I tried PCC, but they have a long waitlist... its super hard to get into...

I am married with 4 children and we are trying to get our careers off the ground sooner then later in order to provide for our children.... I make pretty good money now... But this is not my career..

And no, ITT Technical Institute's nursing program is not nationally accredited by the ACEN or CCNE, so they do NOT possess national nursing accreditation.
