Posted

Specializes in OB. Has 2 years experience.

I just got my acceptance letter to the Lansing Community College 3 year (part-time) ADN Program! I am so excited I have been squealing to everyone who will listen. I am so happy to not just be a lurker anymore. I can not post on the forum as a nursing student! OH my goodness I am just so happy. I have had nightmares about not getting my letter and I am so glad it has finally came!

OK I am getting off of my high horse now but I want to hear from anyone else who has gotten accepted! I am so proud of all and to anyone who does not get accepted yet.... DO NOT give up! You will get there if you are passionate about it. Keep your head up and keep trying! You will see your dream!

Congratulations. You deverve the happiness. I cannot wait to become a nursing student myself. Hopefully, by next year, I will be able to post that I am a nursing student. Good luck with nursing school.

Hey! Congrats on being accepted. Im in Lansing as well but Im at MSU, but not in their nursing program. I got accepted to 2 schools in OH and 1 in FL. I start this fall too and am super excited. I dont know which school to attend yet, its between the one in Toledo and the one in Cincinnati, but I think Im going to send my deposit in for the school in Cincinnati. The deposit is due next friday so I need to make my decision soon.

I wish you both the best of luck.

Kristou - some day soon you will be able to feel the ellation that I feel and you will be able to post as a student nurse just keep at it. Do not give up no matter what. Lord knows I have had my reasons. And please feel free to post even before you are a student nurse even if only to give others congratulations as you have to me. Thank you for that ;)

starmickey - congrats on getting into two different schools. That is a bridge crossed just in itself. I wish you the best of luck in your program.

I got my letter last week. I was so tickled. I still can't believe it. I too got in at a 2 yr school. But thats good enough for me.

Congrats guys! I got my letter yesterday and was just as happy as crystal08! I almost cried of joy. I wanted this so bad. Now the wait is on for August :uhoh3:

Kristou: I'm sure you'll get in! I was in your shoes last year, I got declined and had to wait until this year. I hope it flies by for you! Good luck!!

Yep, I start in August! Eeeeeek! :yeah: How do you plan on spending the next 4 months in order to make them fly by? :uhoh3: I think I might go crazy.

By the way, I totally get the feeling of not having to be a lurker anymore and actually getting the privilege of posting as an actual student (even we haven't started yet) :D I even already added the school to my facebook in my education

Congratualtions! I, too, have been accepted for Fall 2010 semester. I have to say, though, that I DO NOT want the next 4 months to fly. I am excited about starting but I also know that is the end of any freedom!

Have fun! And good luck!

I start in august too...good luck!

Congrats! I am a new NS too! I start May 27th! Good luck! :redpinkhe:beer:

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!

I remember the day I got my acceptance, on March 2, 2010, I remember how I was jumping and screaming all over the place, and told everyone who would listen! :D

Cograts!!!:yeah:

I received my letter for summer start on March 3. My birthday was March 5 and my only request for a gift was that letter. Opened it right in the middle of the driveway when I realized what it was. Orientation is May 7 and classes start May 12. I feel like a little kid waiting to go to Disney World, counting down the days and trying not to go crazy!

I am so excited for others who are sharing this feeling, I just wish we could bottle the feeling to look back on when school gets tough.

Best wishes to all of you!:yeah:

Good job! That's awesome that you got your birthway wish :)

I'm definitely one of those people sharing the feeling. And I agree about the bottle thing... how awesome that would be.

You only have a few more weeks to wait... you can do it. Good luck, and let us know how it goes :)

:yeah:

Congratulations to everyone on your acceptances! Getting that letter is a very good feeling, indeed.

My current semester in grad school ends on May 11th & I'll start my ABSN program on June 14th, so I have about a month of free time.

I already have the syllabuses for two of my summer classes, so I'll be getting the books early & reading. I'm also brushing up on my math, because we take our medication dosing exam during the first six weeks.

Plus, I'll be spending as much time as possible with friends, family, & my significant other, since I may not be seeing much of them for the next 15 months! :uhoh3:

Congrats to all and best of luck! I'm applying for my program in like 3 1/2 months (Aug. 1st) and im so excited. I should know within a few weeks of that if I get in so hopefully the next few months will fly! Prayers and blessing to everyone starting NS! :yeah:

I am not sure how I plan on spending the next 4 months yet. My orientation date is May 10th so I will know more then. I do want to refresh my A&P and also my medterm and pharmacology. I also want to look ahead at fundamentals since I have 0 medical experience. I am so nervous but so excited at the same time. Ugggg I am just nervous that I won't be able to handle it all. But I am lucky cause I have all of my non-nursing classes done so I will only have 1 or 2 classes a semester but it will still be between 10 and 12 credits. Oh my goodness I just need to calm down now LOL. I know GOD will help me. He got me this far and I know he will not give up on me now!

Congrats to everyone and I am so happy for each and every one of you.

CONGRATS! and welcome all new student nurses. I share your excitement. Get ready to read and study like never before. I'm finishing up my 1st semester and I love it, love it, love it! Clinicals are really great because you get to do hands on at a hospital with real patients the things you learned and practiced in skills lab and lecture classes.
