iTouch or Old School?

Published

I've seen quite a few threads where people talk about getting an iTouch or PDA to use for nursing school and clinicals and I'm wondering if it's really something I should be looking into getting.

At first I thought of doing it the "old school" way. If I needed to look up information I would use the books I had to pay for.

How many people use an iTouch and how many do it the old fashion way and use the books you paid hundreds of dollars for?

If you get an iTouch or any PDA there is no cell phone bill cost because they aren't cell phones. I'm not talking about the iPhone or a smartphone. Most places I have heard of don't allow you to have a camera or phone on the floor. An iTouch doesn't have a camera and it's not a phone, so it would be safe to have on the floor.

I use both but more often the ITouch. Be careful about services for your ITouch. A drug "book" available on it will only be available for about a year. Same with Taber's & RN Notes (which is rubbish electronically or in print). Kinda pees me off a bit that I can't keep access to them.
