My brother, who recently graduated from lpn school has a problem with board getting his lpn license. On the application he didnt put that he has any kind of criminal background, and he got the letter from BON that they found in his criminal background check that he has a simple assault and that he was arrested 4 years ago...of course the BON wants all copies of records and report from Court and police!Btw I forgot to mention that on court the case was dismissed...what is the best thing to do,since this happened as a result of fight with his girlfriend, who called the police! And also one more thing,he checked no on application for his license, since his school checked his crimonal background twice and didnt find anything, and he thought since the case was dismissed on court and he didnt get any charges, that he doesnt have any criminal history!
Does anyone has any kind of similar situation or anyone who can help us,my parents worry a lot...Can he get the license or BON can refuse him getting one! Please help us!!!

Let me move this to the Nursing License with Criminal history Forum.
forgot to mention that this took place in NJ and that he applied for LPN licensure in NJ. also there were no charges pressed by his girlfriend and the case was dismissed in court.
