Is it true about NCLEX?

Published

I keep hearing that the questions you get on NCLEX, that are higher level, are nothing like what your studying. That most of them have nothing to do with the content youve been reviewing. Is that true? I know its probably different for everyone.:sniff:

..Well yes and no.. Just remember on a priority question...the NCLEX wants MASLOW, ...in school we are taught pt safety #1 and a great emohasis is on pain.

On the NCLEX..think MASLOW (physiological-food, air, water and SEX) is first

never pick PAIN--although in school we are taught that, but remember "pain never killed anyone"--i learned that from hurst

The NCLEX is a test you have never seen before.-you have to think like "them", many can do that the first time, for others (like me) it took a bit-but once you can do this,

everyone passes.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU, keep us posted

Thank you soooo much for your information. Im just scared. I am also doing the online Hurst and I really find it helpful. I do have to turn my thinking around. I take my test June 16th. I will keep you all posted.

Just think of the NCLEX as your last nursing school test.

Dont try to over-analyze it will only drive you crazy.

So do your review courses, study a broad range of topics, and when it comes time for the test, answer to your best ability and don't read into the question to find information that isn't there.

NCLEX = book answers, not real world answers.

Think prioritizing, ABC's, and heirarchy of needs, and you'll do fine.

Best of luck!!
