Is Samuel Merritt MSN-FNP a good program?

Published

Hi everyone,

I am from the Bay area CA and I just got accepted into FNP program of Samuel Merritt. Anyone here has been to transitional FNP Master program (Not the Entry Level)? Can someone give me some feedbacks about the school and the program in particular (Both in Oakland and Sac campuses)? How is the program's reputation regionally and nationally for the matter?

Should I get started now or wait another year for bigger game name like UCSF or UCDavis?

And if they are equivalent in term of reputation and supports and really it's all about how hard you put yourself through your education, then I rather start with SMU now and become a FNP by the end of next year or so!

Thanks

Hello there,

I'm very interested in the FNP program at Sammuel Merritt, I heard good things about it. Would u please share with me your educational background and nursing experience? I know they prefer RN experience, and I am a newly graduated nurse but I just know I want to be a FNP and want to pursue it wholeheartedly. Thank you!

Hello,

I am applying for SM for the FNP online program. SM has an excellent reputation. Because it is a CA school (and fully accredited), there should be no hiccups in obtaining an FNP license in CA.

My advice would be to jump in and get it done. Best wishes!

I was wondering how the program has been going for you so far? I am interested in SMU's MSN FNP program but haven't seen too many reviews from current students of the program. I was wondering if you can spare some insight and if you would recommend the program to prospective FNP students? Thank you so much for your time. I know this is a about a year late in response but I honestly I have yet to find current reviews on the program. Thanks in advance.
