Improve NET scores
I am desperate enough to sling $39.95 to this guy if it will help any but something tells me it's a ripoff and that just studying the NET study guide will be enough.
Has anyone actually bought this guide or have any opinions of it?

I am not sure it is the same company, but I purchased the one for the Asset test. In my opinion it is better to just purchase a study guide. The Asset guide I purchased online did not have enough practice questions. It had some tips that were helpful, but the same thing can be found in a study guide.
The worse part about it, is that I didn't need it in the first place. I used the study guide provided by my school and passed the first time. I thought I had failed, so I purchased this online version.

I wondered about that too before I took the NET.
It turned me off from buying it when I saw several websites selling the same thing for the NET, and several other websites selling the same thing for other exams.
I think it would be a rip-off, but I can't personally tell you. I jut bought the NET Study Guide & bought that off of Ebay for cheaper. :)

Anybody who thinks you will believe you can "significantly" improve anything with minimal effort probably has some beach front property in Arizona to sell you at a real deal too.
Get the appropriate study guide (I like Ebay or Amazon or Barnes and Noble), and do the work yourself for a fraction of the cost. And if you have to take it again, so be it.
I always thought a particular guarantee was pretty funny..... It said if you failed a certain exam three times, they'd refund your money. But it would have cost you more than twice the cost of the original study guide to take the three exams, so what's the point?
If you have your pre-reqs out of the way and you remember anything about basic algebra and basic science, you should be OK.
Good luck to you--and don't take any wooden nickels!

I agree with chris_at_lucas_RN on this one.....Basic study guides that will show which type of questions will be asked as well as the format are your best bet.

Yes, it is a rip-off. They also have the same exact thing for all the other entrance exams and not just for nursing. A friend of mine actually fell into the trap and got nothing but worthless trash from them. Oh and to get a refund took a migraine and anger. LOL
Get a basic study guide as your best bet.
Good luck :)

^I agree. My college recommends a specific book for the NET and they have about 10-15 copies of it in the library. I checked one out and the inforamation is very simple... grammar, math, and reading. I would have paid $35 for this online. I'm so glad I didn't. Check ebay, amazon (the used books), or the library.
phew! Saved $39.95! Yeehaw! :)
