Hello everyone! I just made my Fall 2019 schedule, and it looks like this.
A&P II with Lab
Microbiology with Lab
Statistics
Medical Terminology
Intro to Literature
I have no kids and I will not be working during this time. All of the classes are 16 weeks long. The only reason why I think I can do this is because I took A&P I with chemistry, college algebra, and a health class and managed to get As in all of the classes.
If any of you have ever taken a similar course load please let me know how that went for you.

Is there a reason you have to take such a heavy course load? It would have to be a very good reason for me to even consider this. I would be moving at least stats and one of the last two listed to another semester.

If you’re in a highly competitive area( where a B is really going to hurt you) I’d lighten your load. I found A&p 11 easy, but Micro was a beast. Those two labs will add so much additional busy work. Good luck!

Yes I want to graduate with my AA degree in Spring 2020 and then get my ADN in Spring 2022. I don't want to take any prerequisites for my AA during the summer break from nursing school because I want that time off. I think I will be able to do it though.

I found A&P 2 to be way harder and far more challenging than A&P 1.

Microbiology for me personally, was pretty hard. I would never take it together with A&P. I took it as an accelerated course during the summer back in 2016. I've taken Chemistry and A&P at the same time, got A's in both. But those were repeat courses, since I wanted a higher grade to be more competitive to get into the ADN program....so I knew what to expect.

This is dependent on the type of student you are. I wouldn't recommend it, since A&P & Micro with labs alone are more like 4 classes instead of the regular 2. But hey, if you can swing an A in all that stress, good prep for the stressors of nursing school. Try not to overload yourself & honestly ask yourself if that schedule could overwhelm you. If you're super type A, you may be just fine.

The schedule's doable. I had a similar schedule this past Fall. The only difference was that I had a Psych class instead of the Literature class. It's gonna be rough. I don't have kids, but worked a Full time and a part time and managed to get A's in all the classes.

Thank you! I am definitely going to do this courseload, especially since I am not working at all.
