I have criminal charges (DUI) that are over 4 years old on my record. My criminal record is completely expunged so my background checks come back clean, but you can still see the charges on my nursing license when you pull it up on the BRN/ Dept of Consumer Affairs website. I was just offered a nursing job, but when they saw the charges on my license they changed their mind. Is there anyway to have your nursing license sealed, similar to your criminal record?? Can you get an attorney for this?

That is something only a lawyer can answer.
I was hoping it would be answered by someone who has had a similar experience. If anyone has been in my same situation and has been able to have charges sealed from your nursing license, please advise me of how you did it. Thanks!
Or tell me what kind of attorney would deal with this situation?

No, it is not possible, and to seek legal advice would be a waste of money and time. FYI, any criminal record is also something that the BON wants to know of, regardless of expungement, or final result, and they have access to all records including expunged by law, so it is wise to be honest, and if not included, could lead to license loss ( depending on the case and the state)
