Is it possible to get ur GED b4 lpn program starts?

wow how crazy is that???:roll

i've been asking myself that for a while now, currently i'm in a external diploma program i got a 12.9 on the reading which is great and got a shocking :omy: 7.1 on the math because i ran outta time and marked in any answer for the last 13 questions.

my dream is to be an rn but of course in order to support my sister ,my mom and i. the lpn program is great because from there i could go lpn to rn while working...

what state are you in?? i'm in ny trying to go into the boces lpn program feel free anyone to pm me...

i am in ny aswell im trying so hard to take the test but i suck in math:crying2: wat kind of program is that did they give u cousres or u just took the test???

well im in brooklyn i found a lpn program in a hospital but i havent found a ged program to enroll in and they start recruiting around october/november i dont know weather to taker the test just to see how it is and keep taking it untill i pass it???:thnkg::omy::chair:

tell me about that program boces is gonna cost over 16 thousand!!! how long is the one in brooklyn and how much is it?

most important when does it start because both of us need a ged before anything. do they have e.o.c. or boces out there where you can get your ged for free?? or maybe thru a church?

well the program is 11mons and its a free schorlship all they want in return is that when u complete the program u work in one of the hospitals for 22 mons and ur starting salary is $40,300 starting not bad huh? its a program for low income family u have to make under a certain amount according to family size:typing

THATS A GREAT DEAL. I'm more than sure that you can do it check online for free ged classes in brooklyn..

So will they let you take the test even if you dont have your ged and then while your waiting for the class to start get your ged since it starts in sept 2010 but they recruit in a couple months?

Call them up it doesnt hurt

i tried calling but it tells u leave a message i did no responce but when i emailed them to be put on the waiting list they responeded im sure i can find a school i noticed alot of pple are in the school u mentioned it must be great!!!! :typing

I got my GED in 2002. Look in the phone book under dept of education and call and they can possiblly give you a number where to take your GED test at. That is what I did and it takes about a week to get your results it may be faster now days. The math covers basic math there is no algebra. The hardest there is is fractions which I hate. Go to the library and get math study book and study it.
