Is a patient care tech the same as a multi skilled tech?

My college has a multi skilled tech cert and I've been looking at jobs around my area to see if hospitals are hiring for it and I see a lot of patient care tech so I am just wondering if it is the same

Compare job's duties and qualifications as a PCT and a multi skilled tech. If they are similar, chances are they are the same. Names vary per hospitals. PCA, PCT ect. Same dog just a different collar.

At one of the hospitals I work, PCAs don't do blood draws and EKGs, but MSTs do. The MSTs only make about fifty cents more an hour though. :(

It depends on facility. I am an SCT (specialty care tech) in an ER. I draw blood and do EKGs. That's what makes me different than a PCT.

Ok bc my college has a multi skilled tech course and the classes are electrocardiography class , basic phlebotomy class, cna class, basic skills for allied health class, home health aide class, basic life support class, and medical terminology. So I'm not quite sure if this certificate is in its own category or just under setting else when I'm looking for job listings

I would do that course if you're looking to work in an ER. Other hospital jobs I would just do CNA. If they want you to do EKG, they will usually give you on-the-job training.

I figured if I take that it will open my ranges for jobs
