Hey there! I'm a nursing student and I am going to take an ACLS cert class at my place of employment. Any tips for passing the exam?
  2. NR 101 was a breeze. I literally spent maybe a total of 3 hours on hw... During the whole session. 222 was also fairly easy. I didn't even use the textbook.
  3. I would do that course if you're looking to work in an ER. Other hospital jobs I would just do CNA. If they want you to do EKG, they will usually give you on-the-job training.
  4. It depends on facility. I am an SCT (specialty care tech) in an ER. I draw blood and do EKGs. That's what makes me different than a PCT.
  5. So interested! [email protected] Also, shirts should be made for this glorious event.
  6. I work at Hinsdale as a PCT and love the hospital and nurses :)
  7. Hello! I will be graduating nursing school in one year and want to be a FF/PM as well as a nurse (I know some people who do it; not an entirely unreasonable goal). Does anyone know of a bridge program BSN to EMT-B/P? Thanks!
  8. I was going to apply there but I worried me that they weren't accredited. Also they don't get great clinical placements and I hear they kinda jerk you around for you clinical hrs. I go to chamberlain in Addison and I like it there. Expensive as heck, but you'll get out fast.
