Is there any online programs

No, there are not any online crna programs. You gotta drop everything in your life for 2-3 years and dedicate it all to school if you want to be a CRNA. I, for one, appreciate this because I feel like everyone and their dog would be a crna if you could do it all online..it would just be too easy.

I looked for online didactic portions for CRNA as well when I was first starting out. Unfortunately other than a semester or two of DNAP programs, I did not come across any. CRNA is the most time intensive program there is for masters in nursing (and rivals many MD programs in time required per semester to pass). However, it potentially is most rewarding. If you really can't dedicate 2-3 years to school without working, I would suggest looking at the general MSN or MSN in informatics - many of these are entirely or almost entirely online. There are a few ARNP programs with didactics that are online, but the last year is usually clinicalsm making it rather challenging to work while in school. Hope this helps!

Exactly. Many DNP/DNAP programs will allow you to do a lot of the Doctorate classes and fluff classes online but I don't know of any that allow anesthesia classes online. And frankly, I don't think I would want a degree from a school that did. You want the field to remain difficult to get into. You want the programs to be a sacrifice to attend. If it becomes easy to become a CRNA, many more students will take this route and that $130,000 starting salary goes to $80,000 because the market becomes flooded. One of the programs I was accepted in to starts with all the 900 level classes for the first 12 months and then the next 2 years is the masters level classes and clinicals. Basically you get the "doctorate" while still being able to live at home and possibly work for a year before starting the anesthesia aspect.
