Nursing Students NCLEX

I feel like Saunders questions are easier than Kaplan. So I was just wondering, for anyone that took nclex, what was your experience? Did they seem like Saunders or Kaplan questions? Thanks :)

Study Kaplan questions. They prepare you to answer critical thinking questions.
thank you hopefulnurse11. the problem is that i am 10 pts below what is the "usual passing score" in kaplan. i wonder how much work i need to reach that goal.~

I didn't use Kaplan so I don't know if it's like the NCLEX or not. I don't believe anyone in my class did either. We all studied Saunders and as far as I can tell everyone who has taken the exam has passed.
I also used LaCharity. Saunders questions were easier than the NCLEX. I agree with the posters above. It doesn't really matter which book you use, you just have to know the content and know how to pick the correct answers if you have to make a guess. :)
Good luck!

I found the questions were exactly like the nclex 4000...i think kaplan was way harder then the actual nclex q.

I think Kaplan was a lot harder than the NCLEX but it teaches you to critically think and breakdown each question which was invaluable to me during the NCLEX. I did not use Saunders so I can't comment about them but I owe a lot to Kaplan. Their questions were very helpful in preparing for NCLEX. Good luck to you! :)

I studied from Saunders and found the book very helpful for content. The questions were rather easy. I also studied from the LaCharity book and found the questions to challenging yet extremely helpful for preparing for the NCLEX. I also did over 3,000 question on Prep-U, and noticed that the questions didn't focus much on prioritization. Those questions were inbetween.

Definitely more like Kaplan. The freaking screen even looks the same.

I am using kaplan qbank. I took the nclex rn three weeks ago and failed. I didn't use the kaplan to study the first time taking the test, but I am now studying it for the second time to take the test. Do you feel like the kaplan qbank, decision tree, etc, helped you pass the nclex rn? Thanks!
i personally didn't use the decision tree because i have my own strategies for taking tests but i did feel that the kaplan qbank and question trainers were very helpful. i also made sure that if i didn't understand something, i looked it up either in saunders, mosby's dictionary or on the internet. good luck with your next test!
