Is it safe to say that med. surge is the hardest class and everything else is easier? Even at the LPN level, it's rough. I have a pedatric and family clinical left and a geriatric mental health clinical left. I want to assume these will be easier or am I wrong? Med surge got me feeling burned out :/

It may end up having been the hardest for you. Medsurg was not the hardest for me, I am pretty sure it varies by person and school. For me, OB was my most difficult class, but that was the area that I had the least experience and I had a somewhat stubborn teacher (I showed her where my test answer was in the book verbatim and she would still not give points back.)

I found some parts of med surg hard, some easy.. It depends what are your strengths and weaknesses.. I particularly disliked OB and subsequently did poorly in that class.. I loved pediatrics and did excellent. It all depends on your specific motivational level and how much you feel you are wanting to dig in deeper to specific subjects.. That's my experience.. Hope that helped.
I don't know how it got posted twice

Med/surg was not 'hard' for me.
The most difficult course in nursing school is purely subjective and dependent on the student. Some people fail OB/maternal because they assume they know more than they really do due to having experienced childbirth firsthand. Some people fail medication math because they struggle with dosage calculations or have weak basic math skills. In my class, multiple people failed the pediatrics course.
So, what's the most difficult course? It depends on you.

I agree, I had some students in my class that actually failed different classes. Never more than one, but there's was always one fall out per semester.. It does strongly depend on what the individual grasps as difficult. We are all unique!
