Depends on how long you plan to work before applying to CRNA school. There si no preparation that M/S will give you that you can't get directly in an ICU. But it all comes down to what your comfort level is.
Only you will know what is best for you...............Good luck. :balloons:

Yes it is. But it's not necessary, as was stated you can go directly into ICU. This will get you the experience you need to apply to CRNA school quicker.
Good luck in whatever you do. We need good med-surg nurses!

I totally agree with you Guy!!! Although I'm not crazy about med/surg, I'm sure glad I did a year of it. Learned alot and used a great deal of my med/surg skills in other areas of nursing. :)
