Is it me or I just see more threads on people getting interviews or jobs

I just start to see more threads on people getting interviews or questions on new jobs, do you think the economy is finally getting a little better?

I think there has been an upward trend in the economy. But I also think it's July. People who graduated in May are passing the NCLEX and entering the job market, and some will find jobs. I'm not sure if it's anything more than "that time of year."

Hmm I think it probably is that it's July and many are finding jobs.

I just recently talked to several nurses here in my state (northern Louisiana) and they said that most graduates in this area are not having any difficulty finding jobs.

I think its all relative and who you talk to. In my area it hasn't been any different than from a year ago.

As others have said, its just that time of year. May grads posting that they've found a job. I graduated in May also, sat for NCLEX on 6/21 and just got my first job. I'd say about 1/3 of my class so far have jobs. My friend that graduated in December, got her first job last month. I read an article in my local paper last month that said, this year, hospitals are hiring more new grads compared to last year, but its still not by much.

One thing I've learned first hand is that staying behind the computer and sending out resumes, just doesn't cut it. You've gotta go out there and network and try to get that face to face contact.
