I have a felony conviction on my records (happened more than 25 years ago) in New York. I graduated from Nursing School here in Florida back in 2013. I have my CNA License and had worked in that field in a Nursing home facility.
I had to show documents of my felony to the Florida Board of Nursing to get approved to take the NCLEX exam. I received the approval and currently have an appointment for testing.
I had tried to find jobs as a PCT/CNA before in hospitals here in the Tampa Bay area but I was turned down by one because was told most Hospitals won't hire you if you had a felony conviction regardless of the situation and/or how many years have passed.
Does any knows what Hospitals in the are would make an exemption? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi there, and welcome to Allnurses!
I can't really answer your question, but I will ask our moderating team to move your post to the Nursing with a Criminal History forum for a better response.
Best of luck to you in your endeavors.
