Is your employer helping pay fro school? What is your schedule like?

This is the only reason I am becoming a CNA. Im hoping I can get into a decent enough job, that helps pay for nursing school, and have financial aid help too.

What is your schedule like working and school?

I took a couple pre-reqs (most of my credits transferred) and I am finally finishing up my science courses. I did all this while working full time and taking 2 classes a semester. It helps to work 12 hour shifts because then I have more days to study and do other things. I start nursing school this fall (2 days a week) and I will still work full-time.

ETA: My employer requires me to work a year and get at least a C for tuition assistance. Otherwise, it could turn into a loan. Just something to keep in mind.

My employer offers tuition assistance but after 6 months, which is perfect b/c in 6 months I'll be applying to NS :) And I work every other weekend 3-11.

Specializes in Pediatric Intensive Care, Long Term care.

my job also offers tuition reimbursement after 6 months. You get 5000 per yr if you are fulltime. You also have to maintain at least a C average

oh, and I work 7p-7a 3 days a week

Specializes in Alzheimers and geriatric patients.

My school offers tuition assistance but you have to sign a contract to work for them. I work 6a-6p every weekend.
