Is dropping A&P and taking it online a good or bad idea

Published

I am currently a student at TCC and I am not doing very well in A&P. I want to transfer to TCU extremely bad, but I don't know how in class courses differ from online in terms of what a school looks at. Do the schools know you've taken a class online? I need to do much better in A&P and I know it's too late for me to do that now. I need help. I don't know what to do. Should I drop and retake it online or in the class room again?

Thank you! That would be very helpful. I want to thank all of you guys for giving me some good advice. I really appreciate it :nuke:

Whitney, don't be discouraged - I am in the same boat as you!! I am enrolled at TCC as well. I made a 66 (including the curve) on my first lecture test and we have our first lab practical in a week and a half. I feel so incredibly lost. My professor lectures to us like we are all biology majors. This is my first science class since high school, and that was 7 years ago!! In lab, my professor lectures for maybe 15 minutes and then tells us to look at slides or go study bones. I don't learn very well trying to teach myself. I went to the Science Learning Center a week ago to try and get help - that place is a joke! It is all self-study! Ugh.....I am so frustrated!!

Just hang in there!! I am pretty sure I am going to drop, study as much as I can over the summer and retake it next semester. Or even take Micro first and then attempt A&P again. Good luck to you!

yeah I was so surprised about the learning center, the guy whose suppose to be helping just sits on facebook the whole entire time :(

I am glad to see that someone feels the same way I do about the SLC. I was hoping to go there and find someone that would tutor me, and things would finally start to click. Boy, was I surprised!

Yeah, I don't find it to be much help either...
