I am considering an acute RN position with Davita. I don't know much about the company. Are they good or bad to work for? I have worked for Aurora and I know money hungry and poor patient care. Is Davita like this?

Depends on the clinic. The one I'm at now is a joke. They promote team work, but our manager doesn't support it. They have good benefits. I will have to say they are much better than FMC. Good luck.
THanks!

I just started with Davita (chronic) in June. Honestly so far I love it, my FA is great as is the the rest of the team. Unfortunately, each facility is different just based on who runs it. However two of my classmates also are with Davita at different locations and they too are happy!! One actually worked for FMC for awhile and liked Davita better. So it will be very difficult to tell you. Good luck! please let us know how it goes!

It all depends on the unit. I worked Chronics and had a crap manager and crap techs. I was burnt out after 6 months, cried at work. It was horrible. I work for a hospital based acute dialysis unit now and I love it. I wouldn't go back to Davita.

I've been with DaVita ACE Acutes for 12 years. It has it's ups and downs like any job but, overall I've been happy working with the company. They are team oriented, and they actually listen to us nurses. I've been an RN for 30 years, and this is one of the best employers I've had.

I have worked for both Davita and Fresenius, There are goods and bads with both companies, I had a great FA and we had a wonderful clinic. Davita does alot of charity work through a program that is called Tour Davita where you get donations that are put into the Kidney Trust Fund to benefit pt with co-pays and other financial needs. It is an approx 250mile bike ride, over 3 days. You dont have to do all the miles, you dont have to do any of the miles because you have already raised funds, They do special things every night of the ride, you sleep in tents but the best part of the ride is for the time you are with the Tour NO ONE has letters behind thier name, KT the CEO of the company rides right along side of you but he is only KT and if you didnt know who he was you wouldnt know he was the CEO. Very down to earth man. I rode for hours chatting with a fellow rider only to find out that she was a Nephrologist. No indication she was a Dr. I hope you have fun if you decide to take that position with Davita

Trust me, the patients do not feel the same way about Davita or KT.
