Is anyone in the Loyola ABSN Program?

Published

I applied for the May 2006 start and am wondering what to expect.

Thanks!

No. I still run everyday to the mail box. I received a letter from them last week all excited only to find out it was an alumni card I applied for. Where are you taking your pre-reqs at??

Kathy,

I took them at Truman. It's a small city college. Let us all know when you hear (on this thread), and I'll do the same. Good luck!!

I heard from someone this afternoon who applied to the ABSN program the following:

1) they haven't mailed out the letters

2) they haven't even made any decisions

They told her they looked in her file. I'm not sure how true any of this is. It seems kind of weird that they told her they haven't made any decisions. I don't know if I buy that. I know one thing for certain, I haven't received a letter yet! Oh, the agony.

:chair:

my wife applied for the absn at loyola, we are also waiting

chi, i went to luc's website and this is what's on there:

decisions will be mailed out by the

end of february/beginning of march

only a few more weeks of waiting...:chair:

Thanks for the update Kathy. I am going nuts as it is - I really wish the letters would come. It's so hard to go to the mailbox everyday and not get anything :o It is kind of strange that they are saying that they have not made any decisions - you would think they would have decisions made and be getting letters out seeing as though next week is the end of February.

Well now I won't get my hopes up when I go to the mailbox anytime soon. :uhoh3: Thanks again for the info - whether its true or not.

Well this week's a bust. Hopefully next week. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything!

I called Loyola yesterday and was put in touch with my "admissions counselor". Unfortunately he was out all day so I left him a VM just asking if the letters had gone out, etc. Hopefully he'll call back. You can call the admissions office and talk to your counselor. They're pretty nice over there. They'll look you up by SS#. Can't wait until I know. It's killing me. I feel like my life is on hold. (Of course we can't be blamed since they posted on their website that decisions will be made by end of Feb/beginning of March!!)

Crossing my fingers for you! Let us know when you get your letter! :)

I sent an Email to someone in the Nursing school admissions and she said that the letters would be mailed out by the end of this week.

Thanks for the information. I think all of us are going a little crazy with the waiting. :lol_hitti

Good luck everyone!!!

Unfortunately I didn't get in. Yes, I'm extremely disappointed. :bluecry1:

My mom and husband are trying to down play it for my sake ("It's not the end of the world", etc). I understand what they're trying to do but it's not helping. I guess I'll have to figure out a Plan B.

Good luck to all of you!! I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Let us know what Plan B is and if we can help in any way. You take care.
