Hi and welcome to allnurses :) I presume you're refering to the following?

I have moved your thread to the Arizona Nursing Forum, where hopefully you can receive a better response.

I'm in the Banner nurse fellows program. I start block 3 in a week. I applied in May and was accepted for the program starting the following October. Besides the application there is an interview with Banner. I also applied for a few other programs but got into this one first. Good luck!
so were you a banner employee when you applied? And what kind of questions do they ask you during the interview. How was the first block were you real nervous?

I don't know the exact passing rate, but I'm in Block IV at Gateway and they are constantly bragging to us about having one of the best pass rates in the district.
Eh, it's nursing school and yes it sucks, but I would recommend Gateway. At least from what I hear about CGCC. (You don't work in the NICU, do you? I'm kind of wondering if I know you.... )
No, I don't work in NICU. May I ask, how many students failed in your Block III? Is there a Block III opening in March 2008 over there at Gateway? The problem is, if everybody in Block II passed then there will be no spot available in Block III this Spring unless somebody decided not to go back and just work as an LPN, or move to other school, which is unlikely since I heard that Gateway is a good school unlike CGCC Block III, where the exams' and quizzes' class average was a D. How did you hear about CGCC? You know someone there? or you read the thread here about it?
I'm in the accelerated Fellows program, so my Block started in October - all of our blocks end in March and the new one starts up in March, so we'll know if someone failed at the end of February, really. I'm not sure about the traditional program. You can call Margie Schultz at Gateway and ask, she's the person to talk to. We had five people fail Block III, but three of them were from other Blocks and had failed before. Our class average for the end of the block was 78%, though, so I can't say it's going to be easier.
As far as Chandler-Gilbert goes, I work with someone in the NICU who is doing the program there and she HATES it. She's trying to get into Gateway as well. She hasn't had too many good tales to tell about it.
Okay, thank you! so you mean there will be no Block III Banner program in Gateway on March 08? just Block I? I would like to get into fast track as much as possible.
In regards to CGCC, I remember that on our third exam only 2 out of 36-38 students passed and the class average was at 61% then the instructor made some adjustments and the class average went up to 66% still a fail. Our quizzes were horrible students get from 1/10 to 5/10. We do the quizzes at home, it's online. Students spend 4 hours answering a 10 question quiz and still get a D. The class average on our quizzes were 4/10 or 5/10 and sometimes 6/10. One of my classmates had a 4/10 and she had two RN's helping her. It was tough, you can google all you want but for some reason you still get a low/fail grade.

There's always one of each block going at all times, so there will be another Block III in March. But those people are in block II right now and we won't know if they've passed or not until the end of this "semester". :)
Thanks so much for the info pfillbert!
I love this site!
