Is anyone else leery of posting?

I think about it a little. I don't identify myself by state, and don't post in my state's forum.

But anyone searching back through my posts probably does know who I am. I haven't written anything very negative about where I work because overall, I am happy with my job. I have posted who the the company I work for is. But because of the very nature of my job, I get lots of questions about it. It can get kind of tricky. When I answer those questions, I do consider how it would be read by my bosses, or at least that is in the back of my head.

I have no idea if they come here, I can't imagine they have time. I haven't read anything to make me believe that any coworkers come to this site either. But I quess that doesn't mean they aren't reading........

I cannot understand why people would post their e-mail addy's and personal web page and put their picture as their avatar and then bytch about their co-workers and work place.

Personally, I make it obvious who I am (see picture at left) so that I am reminded not to post something I wouldn't want my teachers/coworkers/friends/relatives/etc to read. I've been amazed at what some people will post on here. I often think this site would be an ambulance chaser's dream come true.

Its a public nursing board and anything you put anywhere on the internet can come back to bite you - use common sense.

We have over 40,000 members here.

It's true that some members have posted things that have come back to bite them.

If you are leery to post something, then I agree you should lean towards the side of caution.
