I am finishing up my prerequisites at Baker to apply to the program in the spring. I am freaking out right now because my 4.0 might be ruined by an algebra class. THIS IS CRAZY!! Is anyone else stressed out about trying to get into nursing school.
I am sure nursing school is very tough, but sometimes I think nothing can be worse than not knowing if you are going to get into the program after busting your butt getting A's in the prerequisites. I just needed to vent a little. It seems the closer I am to taking the NET the more freaked out I am becoming.

I know how you feel. I am hoping to get into MCC and will find out the end of April. I think I will probably get in but you never know. Trust me, if you need a 4.0, do whatever you need to. Maybe you should seek additional help from a tutor. Good luck!

My advice is keep your head up, I got accepted to OU with a 3.8 so a 4.0 shouldn't be necessary... Also I would suggest to have a back up school or 2! I know a few people who had put all their hopes into UofM and were unwilling to move even an hour away to get into a program..... Everyone has to make their own decisions but if you want to get into a program you just might have to make some sacrifices along the way... All schools are competetive but trust me some aren't as bad.... Check out all the schools you are willing to commute to or move to, and apply to all of them!
Thanks a lot! That is great advice. I just found out that WCCD accepts applications until May, so I will apply there as well. Thanks again.

I am going to baker for LPN and I am freaking out because they accept the best and I know there are more than the 40 people they accept that are better than me..... I wish baker would have told me if I switch to another college I will have to take most things over...

I'm currently in my first semester of NS BUT I can completely relate to "stressing out" about getting in. I swear everyday the mail would come I hyperventilated. :) Then when I did get the letter, I didn't even read it I just looked for the bold word of congratulations or accepted. Enjoy the anticipation, although this sounds silly. Once you get accepted a new anticipation starts and you're reminded of how hard you worked to get there!! I wish everyone luck of getting in. I also had 2 other schools as back up, my philosophy was I would "find" a school to get in. Transfer whatever I had to, to meet requirements. Don't give up and CONSIDER all options. :wink2:
