I believe I am getting paranoid. I started to review for the exam and I feel like I don't remember anything. Is anyone going through this?
I know this is way late, but I just ran across your post and wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I am so relieved to hear that I am NOT the only one who is filled with self doubt. To be honest, I am scared witless. I graduated in December and took a three week break to enjoy the holidays- but the second I opened the book to study, I was flooded with fear, doubt and anxiety. I was so completely overwhelmed- there is just so much material. I didnt know where to start, what to use, what to focus on and to top it off my brain cells were in hibernation- I couldnt remember anything!!But luckily, thanks to God, I found my knight in shining armor- HURST! I have fallen head over heels in love with this review. They break down the information in simple ways that are easy to understand and retain- they make it fun. Although Im still extremely nervous and anxious, in just a few short weeks my confidence is improving. If youre needing a content refresher, like me, then I highly recommend Hurst!
Aside from Hurst, my best resource has been God- He offers his services free of charge and proves quite convenient as He is with you always
. Pray- pray for peace, for guidance, for competence and confidence. If He brought you to it, He will get you through it. With Him and through Him WE can get through this!!
Good luck and Happy studying!
Thanks for your response. And Amen! Are you studying the book or are you listening to the audio more than once.
Hi All!
I'm glad to know i'm not the only one who feels like this too! Like the previous poster, i graduated december 11th and took a holiday break till january 2nd! I started studying but soon felt like i didn't know anything!! I panicked and bought a bunch of books. i've been reviewing Saunders pretty much and had ambitious goals: 200 questions a day plus 4 hours of review and now i'm finding myself bored, falling asleep, unable to focus! Ughhhhh maybe i should sign up for Hurst!
For those of you who are taking the exam soon: Good luck! I think we should all pray for NCLEX takers every night! lol

I know how you feel!! I freaked out and pretty much bought the entire nursing section of Barnes & Noble thinking: the more the better- boy was I wrong! I felt even more overwhelmed than I did before! I tried to organize a study plan with my gang of resources- but the more I tried to organize the more anxious I felt and the less motivation I had.
I highly, highly recommend Hurst- I love it. I actually enjoy studying with them because they make it simple and fun- the instructors are funny! They break it down by topic so it’s a little easier to study. I’ve got a pretty good routine down: I go over 1-2 topics per day (watching the online lectures and filling out the worksheets) and supplementing any weak areas with Saunders. I get my questions in by doing a chapter in my Kaplan Strategies book and a chapter in my Lacharity PDA book. I will increase my questions the closer I get to test day (if I ever get my ATT!).
I am sending up prayers for all of us- we can do this!!

I print off the worksheets and do them as I watch the lectures. If I’m not clear on something I will supplement with Saunders. For each topic I make notecards for the ‘need to know’ info and go over them daily.
Right now I am just watching the lectures once so I can get through all of them- but once finished I plan to watch them all again, especially the ones I’m weak in.
