My NCLEX is near. Do you think just keep on answering Q&A is enough to pass? Or do i need to study the books and some materials? And what Q&A is the best? Kaplan, Saunders, etc?
and any suggestion on how to study for medications? that's my weakness

First, you need to know your content. Get a quick 100 practice questions at NCLEX 3500 pre-test and assess yourself on the areas that you need to focus on. Then, start doing 100-200 questions a day. Stick to it everyday and never get bored. Review the rationales whether you get it right or wrong. Know your common meds. Know your normal labs. Read about infection control and delegation. I suggest reading LaCharity PD&A. Lastly, PRAY. Good Luck!
wow thanks for the reply. btw, what is LaCharity PD&A? see, i look clueless

I only did questions to study for my NCLEX and passed with 75 questions. I used to the Saunders review books. I tried to do at least 100 questions each day. As for meds, those were my weakness as well. I was lucky enough to not get very many questions about them. Good luck to you!
Thanks mate, i should do the same then

If you are just focusing on questions I think what you should do is read your rationales well and do supplemental readings on those topic that you are having difficulty with. Also, if you do not have the time, start today, before going to sleep, read on your meds, normal values. I wish you luck on your test!
will say a prayer for you. :)

My exam is also coming up im reading Lippincott 9th edition. I try to do at least 190 questions a day with rationale. I also did kaplan but i think answering the Q and A is better (well for me at least) May god help all of us!!!

I just took my exam tuesday & I passed . I think you need to know your content to pass the test because the questions on the test are all critical thinking questions .I did questions every day then went over content daily so try that . I didn't know the meds on my test i just picked the worst thing that could happen if you take them good luck & don't forget to pray !!!!!!!!
Priority, Delegation and Assignment by LaCharity. It's popular because of it's strategies on how to answer delegation question that is most commonly found in the NCLEX. I have a hard time with it because we don't have LPN's back home. And their job description was never mentioned in any of my classes. LOL! With the meds, I tried categorizing the meds with its suffixes and understanding the side effects. Sometimes, the brand names would usually give you an idea on what the said medication is used for. Just look for clues. Good Luck!
