IRSC Spring 2017 Applicants

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey everyone,

I plan on applying to IRSC's Nursing program for Spring 2017, and thought I would create this thread for us to talk about the application process! I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to study for the NLN? I keep seeing that they're updating the exam on IRSC's website, so I'm not sure if I should use the current study materials? Also has anyone had troubles figuring out transfer credits? I will have a BS from FSU and the courses that I've taken for A&P and Microbio have different course codes than the ones IRSC offers.

Good luck to everyone who plans on applying! Hopefully this thread can be as helpful as the last few semesters' threads have been.

Thank you very much for the feedback it has helped me and everyone else on here a ton! Thanks again! So did you find out your score?

You're welcome! I got my score and as I suspected I did really well on the verbal, ok on the math and I bombed the science. My composite score was a 117 so with my class points in have a 147. Not sure that is going to be enough but I'm staying hopeful!

Thats good !! How long/much did you study??

I studied on and off for about a month before the exam.. But I really crammed in the last week

Is this your total score along with your points from the prereqs or is that just your test score?

so do you guys remember specifically what areas of math the questions were focused on? also was it mostly bio and a&p and a little chem/physics?

The math on my test was very basic. Mostly conversions, some fractions, some decimals and only a few algebra problems. My science section was mostly a&p and bio. Only one or two chem/physics. Hope this helps!

Was this your total score along with your points or just your NLN score

Did anyone take the nln today?

I take mine the 15th

I took the NLN today, this is my first time posting in this thread so hi everyone! I've been reading the comments and so far everyone that has taken it has explained it pretty well on here. Know your biology and A&P. I just about bombed the verbal at only 69% correct I'd say it was due to the vocabulary section, I felt pretty confident with the reading comprehension. I did really well on the math and science. My composite score was a 137. As long as you've been studying and practiced time management you should be good!

Thank you for your feedback, amazing job btw! What is your total score with your points?
