Hello everyone! I know this is early to be talking about the fall semester 2015. I wanted to make this group for anyone that's applying for fall semester and those the are studying for NLN test. I have an A.A degree and have never take the NLN. So I am planning to make a study group so we can study to take the test before or in march 5 2015. I know when people study in groups stay more focus because we push each other or ask did you study this yet (motivation).I know IRSC will have free NLN study January to February 2015 but we can start NOW! :nurse: If you have any online study or book the help you with the NLN please share I have the NLN red book 3rd edition.Lets get together and study. Please let me know if you interested and have any idea how we can make this study group possible!Best of luck to everyone! :)

Can everyone (if your comfortable with it) post their NLN scores & total scores points once they apply & done taking test? I'm interested to see what my chances look like. Thank you!! & Good luck everyone!

(cause when I applied last time - I got a 109 on NLN & majority were getting 130's & above so I knew I wasn't going to make it before I got my denial letter)

I agree. It's definitely helpful when people post their scores so everyone can get an idea. I can't take the test until the last day of the deadline.

I will be taking the NLN on the 25th. Will update with score and points once I complete. Good Luck Everyone!;)

8 days left until the deadline.. Anyone take NLN yet?

WOW, that's awesome!! You can say you've been accepted at IRSC already because that is a REALLY high score! I would be happy if I could at least get a 130 on the NLN.

Just saw your reply... Thanks :-) I don't know if you've done the exam as yet, but good luck! I suspect the exam is either rotated or some portion of the exam is randomly generated from a question database, so everyone would not get the same exam. But for what it's worth, the version of the exam I did had a lot of physics and general science questions (much more than A&P). Some tips - Use ear plugs or ask for them; also ask to sit at the back of the room if possible, you'll be there for a long time and during that time, some of the other people using the facility will have shorter exams, and their coming and going is very distracting.

Thanks for the tips! I have to take mine next week :nailbiting:

Would you say there was more vocabulary or formulas for the physics section? I have spent a lot of my time on studying for the math section because I tend struggle with it if I don't do it for a while so now I need to spend the last few days on physics!

It was evenly mixed. On my test, there were quite a few questions where they provided the formula/conversion equivalents and you were just expected to use the given information and plug it into the formula. And you may be lucky and get a different set of questions. Try to relax and get a good night's sleep before the exam.

I am doing a Kaplan entrance exam for the next school where I applied on Monday so I'll also be drowning in work this weekend.

Did you take the it?!

When are you taking yours? I have to wait until the day of the deadline because of the last time I took it. I'm having a hard time studying for the physics section :(

I'm not sure yet but will be next week sometime. Good luck everyone! I'm very surprised this board isn't as active so close to the deadline!

I've decided to not take the test. I know I'm not ready & don't feel confident that I will make a better score than I did the last time as of now. My goal is to make way better (got a 109 - aiming for 130+). I don't want to waste the money when I know I won't do as good. I'm thinking of taking my last class (A&P 2) in August instead, so I can have everything done (except actual nursing classes) when I go to apply in Jan 2016. How's everyone else doing?? I hope good! :)

**I wanted to better my g.p.a (as of now i have a 2.79) but might not be able to get anything better than a 2.97 if i got straight A's for 2 classes. I would retake Micro & Lab (got a C & a B) but the school said were not allowed to since I passed. **

I was feeling this way last night after I took the practice tests :(

I did really bad on the verbal section.

I'm really frustrated that physics was not a required class since it is a big part of the NLN.
