Irritating Classmates

Nursing Students General Students

I know we've all seen the threads about those classmates that makes us want to stick a knife in our head, but I'm at wits end at this point. We're only halfway through the program, but the amount of noise, drama, and childishness from some of them is giving me headaches.

There's the girl that has a question every three minutes who also has the family member who has had every known disease. She's also the one who has always says, "Ok, I thought the book said _________ so on the test what's the answer going to be?"

There are the two girls that think they're cool and in some kind of reality show but actually come across as spoiled, overly needy brats like the trash you'd see on Jersey Shore. They're the loud ones that always have to comment in manners such as "WOW, OMG, or WOAH." They actually say the letters O, M, G.

Finally, there's the girl who thinks we're all a close knit group who is seemingly unaware of the cliques and factions going on. She's our designated classleader who doesn't lead. I'm not sure why a school program needs a student leader, but that's an issue I can't change I suppose.

I've been yelled at, cursed out, spit on, and fought with, but the amount of drama that I mentioned above is far worse than anything I ever experienced from drunks and crackheads on the streets. I know people are diverse, but I can't even stand going to class anymore because it all needs to be reigned in.

Thank you for this thread! I've been bullied all through nursing school by -get this- my "friend" who has been through the entire program with me even with prerequisites. A 'toxic friend' as you would call it who has recruited other clique-ish people to join her. I have been having such a hard time with school because of these and at first I couldn't wait for graduation to completely delete them from my life....but now I realize, why not do it tomorrow? GLAD to know I'm not alone with this whole drama childish group of idiots!

I've read so many of these replies and sometimes feel like someone is talking specifically about certain students in my classes! I swear...I'm so glad I was born with the ability to keep my mouth shut when I need to.

There is this group of girls in my A&P class who act like the instructor is their best friend, but it's totally obvious to those on the outside that it's one-sided! :lol2: But that still doesn't keep it from being annoying when they laugh and joke with the instructor, interrupting lecture so frequently.

The one who repeats what the instructor just said, but in question form, making sure of the "correct" function or definition...when he just said what it was. You don't come off as smart when you do that constantly.

The one who always complains about how hard exams were. Keep that to yourself, or study harder if it's bothering you that badly...or do both?

I LMAO'd at the one who has a family member that has/had every disease or illness known to man! That's the honest truth...it seems every classroom has one!

The one who always asks me what I made on my exam the day we get the results back, but doesn't talk to me any other time...what's the deal? I guess you feel better knowing if someone is your definite competition or not? I don't get it.

The one who walks in 10 minutes late....every...single...day of lecture.

There's more, but then I'd just start seeming annoying myself, by labeling everyone in the classroom! :p
