How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.

I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Well I am a 32 yo single father of three, 9 yo daughter, 5 yo boy/girl twins. I will graduate in December of 2004, from a ADN program. Tired of school, and careplans, ready to get license and start working as an RN. :smokin: Sorry about portraying an improper health habit but he looked cool.

Hi all, I'm Merei, and I'm an LPN student at East Central Tech in Georgia. I've got another year to go.

Hi My name is Kylie and I am in my 2nd year of Pre Registered Nursing degree. I cant wait to be a nurse. I have one more year to go. However I find university training very stressful especially with the academic writing. I dont mind writing essays if they were based on case scenarios rather than topics. Once I am finished uni, would love to get the experience of being an RN first and then I would love to move to Canada.

That is it about me :p

best regards

Kylie

Hi there. I just was accepted into the ASN program. Really excited. I was denied a few months back and was devistated. Thought my "life dream" was over, but then it all worked out. I have all of my pre-reqs down and start the nursing classes this Aug. I have been reading postings here for quite some time, and became addicted. I just registered today, couldnt stand not replying/posting anymore. I am so excited about school and am full of so many "what if's" "how so's", but many of them have been somewhat answered here. Thanks to all of you and best of luck to all of us!

Hey all. I've been missing on here for about a year, I think. But have been looking forward to being able to say "I've finished! I'm an RN ! WooHoo!" And there, I said it (grin). I'd say I was out of school, but that wouldn't be true, as I'm getting ready to take some classes in another month (Critical Care Transition prg, and my ACLS -had that, but let it lapse about 4 yrs ago).

To the new-comers in nursing school..: You can do it, keep at it, and many on this board will be very helpful. They were to me!

Anyway, good to be back, and I look forward to being active again.

Oh yeah, I also managed to get myself married (grin), about a week before taking the NCLEX (talk about TENSION!)
