How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.

I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Hi everyone!!

My name is Roberta and I am 23 years old. I have two wonderful children Livia (2 years old) and John ( 2 1/2 months old). I will be attending nursing school in Charlotte NC starting Jan 8th. I am very excited and scared at the same time. This spring semester I will be taking Fundamentals and Micro. I know it is going to be tough but I have a great support system and lots of help. Good luck to you all!!

Hello, everyone! I just joined this site yesterday, and I think its great. Whoever came up with it is pure genius! :monkeydance:

I am going to start my first semester of nursing school in one week. I am super excited about it! My interest is pediatrics. I absolutely love kids, so I think it will be perfect for me. I am also interested in one day becoming a traveling nurse.

Everyone on here seems to be married and have kids. I am neither married nor do I have kids. Maybe one day. I have great respect for the people who are in nursing school while being parents. Good for you!

Have a great day, everyone!

Welcome to allnurses. Congrats on your acceptance. Study hard, utilize time management and you should be fine. I am in my second semester so if i can be of any assistance let me know.

Hi, I' am Natasha, 21, a nursing student, trying my hardest to complete my ADN, so i can transfer to a university to start my BSN. I am not working right now, trying to focus on school. School is my occupation right now, it is a job its self. I hope to become a traveling nurse some day.

Hi everyone. I've been lurking at this board for a couple of weeks, and I decided to finally join!

My name is Kelly, and I live in Massachusetts with my boyfriend, our 2 cats, and our puppy beagle. I have my bachelor's in European History from Suffolk University (yay class of 2006!), but tomorrow I start school at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where I'll get my BSN. It's a 16-month program and there are only about 30 students in my class.

It's so great to read all the posts here, and I hope everyone's having a fantastic new year. :)
