pharm class tips
Oh, I thought you made actual flash cards for use in powerpoint, where you can have multiple slides that you can click on to see front and back. Do you know how to do that as well? Thanks for the advice on how to print them out. I learned something new!

Any experince with Sutter Center for Psych or Sierra Vista (both in Sacramento
Hello and thanks for the response :) I actually picked Sutter (the morning shift). I am attending Samuel Merritt as of January 8th. Which school do you attend and what did you do during the rotations?

Sacramento ELMSN/ABSN...Anyone applying?
Hi Kensington, Actually the 105 is the maximum points on a SMC applicants application profile. SMC scores you in many different areas: GPA, NET score, Essay, Re-applicant, Letters of Recommendation & Interview (and probably life experiences & health care related experiences). As far as the NET exam goes, it's pretty straight foward. There are multiple sections, but must schools only look at the Math, Reading, and Compostion (which is the averaged score from Math and Reading)scores. The math is pretty basic, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, percents and conversions of fractions, decimals, percents and a few very simple algebra problems. The Reading, just tests your reading rate and comprehension by reading a couple of passages and answering content related questions. The best way to study for it is to get the NET Study Guide form ERI (www.eriworld.com). The book has review, test taking strategies and practice tests that are exactly like the real test. Hope this helps!! Starglitter

Any experince with Sutter Center for Psych or Sierra Vista (both in Sacramento
Hello, I am trying to figure out which clinical site to pick for my mental health rotation, either Sutter Center for Psych or Sierra Vista in Sacramento. I am starting the ELMNS Program in Sacramento in January, so obviously at this point I don't have many resources for insights on these two locations or what to expect. Any relevant advice/experince to share? Thanks!!!

Sacramento ELMSN/ABSN...Anyone applying?
Hey Nodean, Ya getting early admit is quite the acheivement according to my friend. She had her interview yesterday and they were told the only people to get early admit are those who have a perfect score, or a total of 105 points. Everyone else below 105 gets ranked in with all of the other interview applicants to fill the remaining seats. I wonder how many other early admits there were? Oh btw... I didn't go to the group interview(which after hearing my friend's experience I am kind of glad) - I had a one on one interview so I wouldn't have seen you. I only saw a few people afterward because my interviwer introduced me to some current students near where you guys were having lunch. So I think I met one applicant who came out of the lunch room and knew one of the students I was talking to. Ya I can't wait to get the news everyone seems so happy there and they said they really did get recruited right away!

Congratulations NoDean!! :balloons: That is so Awesome!! I just joined this panel and it is good to see someone else applying (and now getting into) the Sacramento ELMNS program. I too was interviewed Aug 2nd :) Ya I know the competition is tough- one of my letter writers told me some of his other top Anatomy students (who were at the top of everything they did) were denied admission in years past - he said he wasn't sure how they picked the applicants!! Hope to see you in the spring!!
