Introductions:"New" and "Old" Students.

How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.

I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Care to share?

Hello. I am the mother of 3 girls, ages 16,5 and 4. All are in school now so I plan to give Nursing all my "spare" time and then some! I am looking forward to fulfilling my dream of being a Nurse. I will, hopefully, be starting in January. Pray for me!

Ooooh, Chermistry and I aren't the best of friends! I took Chemistry and was not doing well so I thought I would drop it and retake it only to find out that I could not take it while taking Nursing. I was dropped from the program after being accepted and now I have Chemistry under my belt and finished!!! I am looking forward to starting the Nursing program in January(provided they wil select me again. I took my test and passed and was selected for an interview.). I wish you luck!:yeah:

Good luck with your interview angel5! I hate Chemistry and am just trying to survive it! I'm doing the RN-BSN option so we'll see....may just forget it if the stress is too much! I've never taken any Chemistry before...now I know why!

Hello,

I'm a newB here and in the nursing field. I am in my first semester at Touro University in Henderson Nevada. Everyone in my class already has their BS and we are in an accelerated program that will get us a BSN and MSN in 2.5 years. I am just excited to be starting...and finishing. I look forward to this message board as well. Talk to you all on the other posts.

It's kinda hard to navigate around on these threads/posts?!?! Or is it just me overlooking something obvious? Like when you open a thread it defaults to the beginning not the last post.....????

hi all

my name is laurie... a 41 years-young mom of two little boys, ages 7 and 4. i've been a hosptial unit secretary for over 20 years, and i've finally decided it's time for me to get out from behind the desk and become a nurse!

i live in se michigan, and will be starting the adn program at macomb college next month... i'm excited and scared all at the same time. i know that my years of experience at the hospital will help, though.

for fun, besides spending time with my kids, i like to ride my motorcycle (it's my prozac, lol), read, be active politically (i'm a proud liberal), blog, and dabble in photography. i should add excercise to that list, because god knows i need it, but i hate it... lol

anyway... nice to meet y'all :wink2:

My name is Mike. I am in my first semester to become an LPN. Should be done Aug 07. So far it's been great. Lots of work that's for sure. I am married. No kids but I have a cat!
