Where did you graduate? Did you already take the test?
I graduated in 2005 in the Dominican Republic and I'll be sitting for Nclex in late spring.
From what I heard it's hard for international graduates to pass from the first time. But hopefully it won't be your case. So, good luck to you on your test. By the way what do you use to study?
I was using Delmar Thompson nclex Review and Saunders. 2nd edition.
I just bought the latest Saunders, and Kaplan strategy book. Plus I use the Drexel University Nclex review for RN Online course.

It is hard to pass first time as a foreign nurse but with determination and plenty of practice you give yourself a good chance

Hi,
Maybe my story is of some help. I am from Sweden. Me and my two girlfriends wanted to go to the US, especially to California. Because Sweden is so dark and we rarely get to see the sun there. And we always dreamed of California .... One day we saw an advertisement about an ageny that was transferring european nurses to the US and offering jobs in California. So we went for a NCLEX Review Course in London, England which is only three hours by plane from Sweden. It was with an American Company that does Reviews for NCLEX and USMLE twice yearly for international graduates in England. They gave us the best study materials, a 35 hour Review Class and a learning plan. Three month later we went back to London to take the NLEX-RN there. AND ??????
All three of us passed us well as some girls we got to know from Germany, Austria and Poland !!!!!!!!! Now I live happily ever after in California and I think it is just great. I got a job in Los Angeles and now I am specializing as an ER Nurse. I just had to do a first year internship after the NCLEX but now I am unrestricted. The Review I am talking about is called Dr. Karrenberg's NLEX-RN Tutorial and Review Class. Dr. K' is a doctor who runs a business for medical education in San Diego. The website is www.nclex-tutorial.com The main things which are different to my country is the laws and regulations, the different types of medication and the dosages and the nursing math. Everything else is more or less the same. Good Luck ! It is not that hard, but if you don't know the US then you can not do the self study thing.
