I have an interview with Oakland University through Beaumont hospital next week. I have done my homework on the University and hospital program, but I am always up for extra tips or advice. Has anyone interviewed here? The session is held in their Surgical Learning Center and they estimated 90 minutes for the interview "process", eek!!!!
I am also waiting to hear whether I got an interview at Univ of Detroit Mercy and the Univ of Michigan Flint programs, so if anyone has tips for them, those are welcomed as well.
So has anyone heard from OU yet?? I interviewed toward the end of October and still have not heard anything yet?? Your friend called and they said that they had made all of the calls for the program?? When did she call? Did she interview there?? They were still making call this week?? Anyone know anything??
I emailed the program and asked when notifications were being made. I forget who replied, but they said that they call those who get accepted and mail out letters for not accepted. This person also said mid-November. That is as specific as I know. Good luck to all.
I'm sorry- I wasn't very clear. My friend that called weeks ago didn't even get an interview at oakland.
Luluwags- Congrats on the UM-Flint acceptance! How was the interview? scary as they say? Did they tell you how many people they were accepting this year?
both interviews were just business type interviews. they go through their list of questions and don't really show much of a response, positive or negative. they are just churning through the applicants, so it's pretty cut and dry. They accept 21 at UM last year and 18 the two years before that. This year, not sure. I feel like all of the stress comes from yourself since you have so much riding on the interview, lol.
Have they contacted everyone yet?? WHen did you interview??? I am also waiting to hear if I got in or not yet!!! Do they make all calls in on day??? WHen did they call you??

college GPA 3.6 nursing (ist degree in biology)

lots of smiling, confidence, preparation for all possible questions in the interview, researched the program extensively asked relative questions, SMILED SMILED and kept calm and was just honest...and laid back.....
