What would I be expected to wear for a hospital RN position interview? Please don't answer "clothes." I do not have much of a budget currently.

Agree with flames9 -- dress up! Good luck in your interview, and congrats for scoring one in these tough times! :)
P.S. Consignment shops usually have inexpensive but nice clothing, if your closet is a bit on the casual side.
was funny during my initial interview with HR, the HR lady commented on my suit, and that she was glad that I put effort in picking out my attire,as believe it or not they had people show up in beach attire, lol shorts, sandals, lol

I wore a very nice dress with a cardigan and stockings for my interview. I'd suggest something similar or a dress/pant suit. Loehmann's, Nordstrom Rack, Marshall's, and Ross have appropriate attire at a discount.
Kohls even states on their commercials they take back clothes that have even been worn, lol

You can never go wrong with a suit. However if your finances can't afford one (and not a lot us can!), a nice blouse/shirt, slacks/skirt and good shoes will work. If you're a guy, don't forget the tie!

H&M often has great blouses and business wear that is very inexpensive. I'd stick to dark or neutral colors. Good luck!
