What is the next step after fingerprinting?

I hope I didn't post a repetitive thread. I just got my fingerprint today for the form I-485. Does anybody know what will happen after this? According to "nanasi" post in the thread "USCIS Service Centers", she got "RFE for I-485 repply" after fingerprinting? I just wonder what that is. Is there any other paperwork I have to do at this time or I just sit and wait for the green card? Does anybody know how long does it take to get greencard after fingerprinting? I am using Texas service Center.

Please help... Thank you all for your information and support during my application process.

How long has it been since you've applied?

Actually, just since the very begining of the october 2005 and my I-130 was approved about three weeks afterwards. I don't know why the process is so quick. But I am not the only one that get it done quick though. I was quicker than this a few months ago.

I don't think you need any other paperwork anymore. And if you do, then they will let you know. I think you just sit and wait for your GC.

It might take few more months. Nobody knows for sure...

I wish you all the best.:balloons:

I called FBI and they told me that they sent the result of my fingerprint back to immigration within the same day!! Seem like all I can do now is to wait. I keep checking the status online everyday now.
