What happens after NCLEX?

Just wanted to ask if you have to get any furrther checks done to work as an RN in the US after you have passed the NCLEX? For instance in the UK, we have to have a CRB check done and certain vaccinations before we can be passed to then work.

Can someone please tell me if this is the case in the US or are you good to go once you have passed the NCLEX and received your licesnse.

I am fully aware of retrogression and lack of jobs etc. I am just interested to know if you have to have any further checks etc. in order to be passed to work.

The US have certain requirements that need to be met when you have your medical and there are certain vaccinations that are required and are usually listed on the US immigration website. Not all states will issue a license without a SSN and that you can not get until in the US with a valid work/immigrant visa.

Once you have passed NCLEX and your employer has filed for work/immigration visa all you can do is wait for the visa and medical/interview. Whilst waiting you will need to get a VSC if you are the main applicant of work/immigrant visa
