International Educated Nurse seeking info on relocation and sponsorship

Published

Hi

I have been looking high and low to find a job overseas. I started my CFGNS process (not completed). But there seem to be so many sites out there that are scamming you. I would like to find information or at least find an agency that help you emigrate with a job and sponsorship.

Short version, rare to find sponsorship, high unemployment rate in US.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Also look up retrogression for the US and depending where you was born will depend on length of wait which currently is anything from 4-12 years

You seem a bit vague, where overseas precisely? Is it definitely the USA you are aiming for? Because if you just generally want to go ''overseas' you would be well advised to go to Australia/NZ instead the process is much simpler and visas are easier to acquire. Unless you are 100% committed and determined to go to America it will either never happen or it will take you years and years. It's not impossible but it's very difficult and you have to be extremely motivated and willing to do A LOT of donkey work. Signing up to agencies will entail even more expense and longer waits, I believe. But if you've absolutely got your heart set on the States....it can be done...good luck. You need a H1b or EB/2 visa. To be elidgible for these, you need a BSN, a CES report and possibly to take the exam, from CGFNS, an ATT from your BON, take and pass the NCLEX-RN, get a VisaScreen letter from CGFNS and get certification in your area of speciality, which entails taking another exam and will result in you then being a 'Certified ----- Nurse' (pediatric/emergency room/whatever). This process took me about 3 years. In addition, to qualify for an EB visa you must have at least 5 years experience. THEN, you can start sending out your resume.

Hi, I am an RN looking for sponsorship. about 8 years ago I contracted with a recruiter company to immigrate and work in US. I already have RN license and Visa Screen certificate and (regarding that my Priority date was 2008) ready for visa interview. But my problem is that the recruiter company was closed in 2012 and I don't have a sponsor anymore. I appreciate any advice any information.

You may get sponsers,if you try little. Because,I have been calling many agencies, many of them are not ready to sponser foreign nurses. But some agencies require current priority date.

Good luck
