International College of Health Sciences

Updated:   Published

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here and hopefully I'm posting this in the right area. I'm currently an LVN in Ca and looking into a 1 year LVN-RN on-line program based out of Fl. The name of the school is called International College of Health Sciences based out of Boyton Beach, Fl. I was just wondering if anyone here has had some experiences in dealing with this school, currently attending, or could provide any insight into the program. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I am in LA. Are you in California? Its only 25 questions and its mainly D/H. It was ok but they put a lot of things in the exam to throw you off so just don't overthink it. I did that on a couple of them and I still passed. You can do it.

Hi, I am in California and I am going to start in August. They said I could test out pharmacology. I don't know what to study. can you tell me pls what kind of questions comes in the test. I would really appreciated.

if you can email me to [email protected]

Hi Yani,

Its only 25 questions and it’s D over H. It’s pretty easy but they like to give you info in the questions to make you over think. Just don’t overthink the question and you will be fine. Study D over H.

Thank you for your reply.

Hi everyone, anyone tell me more about International College of Health Sciences in Boynton Fl. Am planning to start in October, but am not too sure about the school nation wide general acceptance, especially in California, where l live. Lots of reviews about the school is getting me more confused. And I have also read about most of you guys post here. But I need more clarification, please.

i have many frinds who go to this skool and finished. They tell me people there are very nice and yes they got ACCEN. But they tell me things change all the time. Price go up often. Teachers always change. Clinical is done in Florida and school does not help with finding place to stay. Clinical sites are bad many are nursing home. No hospitals. Many friends tell me dat the work online is not monitored. if you want easy place to get a license, this is the place. New bosses there try to make it harder like traditional school but if you tell them how hard it is for you are as a student they bend many rules. people have passed boards. some clinical is online but the answers are available in the system so you can just add them in there. good place for people who csnt go to normal skool and still want to be nurces. i plan to apply when money good.

I'm currently enrolled in International College of Health Sciences. The school is accredited and the degrees are accepted nationwide for RN licensure. Their NCLEX pass rates are comparable to national averages. ICHS accepts credits from other schools, CLEP, DANTES, etc. General education and nursing theory coursework may be completed remotely. Clinical training is done in Florida and may be scheduled throughout the course or as a block at the end of the program. Several nurses have transitioned from LVN/LPN to RN through this route and successfully endorsed their licenses to California.

I am considering this school, but trying to find information in the "Gap analysis" exam you have to take to test out of the first half for LPN to RN. They couldn't tell me much about what to study and I can't find anything. Any info about that and the school in general would be great. I live 20 minutes away in Florida so the clinicals would be no issue, and I like the idea of online theory. I am hesitant to pay the fees to apply before I know if I will even test out of the first half (which would save me $10k-ish according to them).

Exactly! Westcoast university cost over $130K for RN-BSN, standbridge university $84k for ADN (is accredited) and theres another school in orange county (not accredited) $74K for ADN. With ICHS to pay $32K (I have pretty much all the pre reqs)

Is that $32k with the lpn to rn program? And if so is that the full program or did you test out of the first "half"? The said I can test out of Fundamental, Pharm(dosage calculations), med surge 1, and psych by taking a "gap analysis exam"... Im trying to find info on this test and can't. Apparently if you test out of those it's $10k or so less, but I'm a skeptic... I want to know the test is even doable...
